Steve Hurl plays solo acoustic blues and contemporary folk. A finger-style player, his guitar work shows some Latin and African influences. A writer of unique, roots-based songs, his lyrics blend the personal intensity of the blues with social commentary. He often appears as the singer/guitarist for Jumpin' Juba, a blues/roots-rock group which also features the exciting piano work of Bruce Ward.
